Week 3

In the third week I was taxed with making a mock up web design for an N.G.O. also I was asked to create a mark for the organisation. I also had to create a character for an insurance company.
In regards to the website, again I used wix and I am waiting to present it to the client. With the mark I used photoshop and exported it to illustrator and finished it up.
As for the characters I sketched them out before digitally creating them, though I have done quite a number and they have been approved I have been asked to do a few more.
On the side I assisted the media department with a clients twitter account, I gave ideas on how to attract followers by putting up financial quotes and quotes on success from great economist and other self made millionaires since the company is an investment company based in Africa.

Week 2

In the second week I begun to take part in some of the projects which had to be done for clients.
First I had to help make an e- flyer for Ecobank to advertise some of their new ATM cards. 
It involved quite a lot of photo manipulation since the images of the person and other objects used was taken from shutter stock images. These images didn't have the cards in them so they had to be inserted into them through photo manipulation.
This experience was fun and really made me feel as part of a team or should I say a bigger picture.
After I was asked to make a mock up of a website for an auto part company which I used wix to do and presented it to the client at a meeting. After I was asked to do a short animation for the road recovery part of the company.
This week was quite tensed and tiring but with the support and help of my superiors who are now my friends I sailed through successfully amidst fun and learning.

What Is Industrial Training

This is a platform where the student is able to interact and participate in the working field of his or her study area. This semester I am undergoing my own industrial training at a company called Brand Communications, in Ghana, with its head office in London.

Brands Communications

This company is a design company which handles designing and branding of company logos as well as adverts and, other graphic and media design projects of companies and businesses. An example client is Ecobank ltd.

There mainly four departments in the company these are;

• Human Resource
• Clientele
• Media Department
• Creative Department

Week 1

In my first week I was placed in the creative department. This is where the designs and ideas for company logos, ads and all the other forms of graphic design related work are developed.

In my first week I basically took my time to get to know my way around and also familiarize with my superiors and supervisors. I was told what they expected from me and welcomed into the department.

Week one was full of observations and getting to know some of our different clients and their preferred styles for posters, banners, e-flyers, and press print documents. 

I was also taught how to use Adobe InDesign and was advised to do all my designs in Adobe Illustrator.
