v Crushing
After extracting the needed pigments the next
step is to crush the red
pigments into powder how ever it is advisable that the raw pigments are left to
dry for a couple of days before crushing other wise it would not be able to be
ground into a smooth powder when it reaches the grinding stage. The tools here
were the clay bowl and the hammer.
